How to download all your data from Instagram: photos, stories, messages, etc.

Do you want to delete your account in Instagram?
If yes, then before this it would be worth keeping an archive of your photos, videos, stories, comments under posts, messages and other data.
Fortunately, now on Instagram, there is a new useful function that allows you to quickly and easily do it. You just need to send a request to download the archive. After that, you will receive a link by e-mail. Download the archive, open it, and you can view all the data that you shared in the application.
After that, you can save the files, share them somewhere else, etc.

How to download all your account information in Instagram

If you have ever requested an archive from Facebook, you already know how the process is going.
1)  Via a browser on your computer, go to  instagram.com/download/request.
TIP :  Or you can just go to instagram.com, click on your profile in the upper right corner, go to Settings, select Privacy and Security, and click Request a file in the Download Data section.
2)  Enter the e-mail address to which you want to receive the file, and then click Next.
3)  Enter your password and click  Request file.
Note:  Instagram can process only one request from one account at a time.
You will see a message confirming the creation of the archive. After that, you will receive a link to download it to your email, which you entered earlier. Waiting can last up to 48 hours, so you'll have to wait a while.
4)  Check your email for a letter from Instagram with a link to download. When you receive it, click on the link at the bottom of the message.
5) A  page with a confirmation of the action should open. Click Download file to continue.
Note:  The download link will remain active for 4 days.
6)  After the download is complete, open the ZIP file with your user name in the name. Unzip it.
7)  Open the extracted folder with all your data from Instagram.
Here you will find several additional folders and files with the extension .JSON.
In the folders will be all the data that you shared in the application, including photos and videos, history from the archive (only after December 2017), profile images, messages, etc.
We recommend that you regularly download your data and save your backups to removable media or to cloud services like Dropbox, Google Drive, Box or OneDrive.
Content that is not media files like comments, likes, contacts, subscriber and subscriptions, text messages, profile information, search history, signatures to posts, account settings, etc., will be in JSON files.
Files with the extension .JSON can be opened in a text editor.
Do not share your download link, because it contains your confidential data. Download the archive only on your computer.
This function is very useful if you want to delete your account in Instagram. With its help, it became easier to switch to other services and applications.
At the moment the "Download data" function is available only in the web version of the service, but soon it will appear in applications for iOS and Android.

How to add trusted phone numbers to your Apple ID

How to add trusted phone numbers to your Apple ID
If you still do not enable 2-factor authentication for your Apple account, we strongly recommend that you do this as soon as possible.
Let us clarify at once that Two-factor authentication differs from Two-step verification. The second is older and less protected.
If you have 2FA disabled, then anyone who takes the password from your Apple ID will be able to access your contacts, calendars, notes, emails and other personal information, as well as see your photos, iCloud files, e.
Special questions Apple ID also does not save: at this time even an ordinary user can hack your Apple ID in many ways.
With 2FA to access all of the above, not enough one username and password from the Apple ID, because each entry from the new device must be confirmed with a six-digit code that automatically appears on the verified devices. By enabling 2FA, you can only access your Apple ID from trusted devices. This feature significantly improves the security of your Apple ID and personal information.
Enable 2PA in iOS 10.3 and newer in  Settings → [your name] → Password and security → Two-factor authentication or in  Settings → iCloud → your Apple ID → Password and security → Two-factor authentication if you have a version older than iOS 10.2.
You may have to answer your Apple ID question.
By enabling 2FA, you will need to enter your Apple ID, password and confirmation code each time you log in to iCloud and other Apple services through a new device or browser.
But what if you have lost access to all your trusted devices? You can no longer log into your Apple ID? No. You can also confirm 2FA using the code sent to the verified phone number. You can get the code through a message or a phone call.
At setting 2FA it is necessary to enter at least one checked number. Moreover, you can add several numbers. This will help you in case you lose access to your trusted devices.
We advise you to use your home phone number, friend or family member number. Later, you can use it when there is no way to access your devices.

How to add a validated number for Two-Factor Authentication

You can manage verified numbers and devices from the Apple ID web page.
1)  In the browser, click the link: appleid.apple.com .
2)  Sign in to your Apple ID.
3)  In the Security section  ,  click  Change .
4)  Click  Add phone number ... .
5)  In the pop-up window, select your country.
6)  Enter the phone number you would like to use for 2FA.
Enter the country code is not necessary, because you have already chosen it, i.e. "+7" should not be entered.
7)  Choose the method of confirmation: SMS or Phone call .
8)  Click  Continue .
9)  Enter the six-digit confirmation code you received.
10)  After that, click  Finish in the upper right corner of the Security section to save the settings.
Note:  Verified numbers can also be deleted. To do this, simply click on the " icon  next to the number you want to delete.

Two-factor authentication and SMS security

Use confirmation via SMS or phone call is recommended only if you can not access your trusted devices, because this method is unsafe. The message can be easily intercepted. SMS is the least secure method of verification.

How to improve the basses of AirPods and make them more convenient

Apple's AirPods headphones seem like something magical to many, because they do not look like any other Bluetooth headphones. However, they are far from ideal, and because of their shape, headphones often drop out of their ears. The sound quality of AirPods also leaves much to be desired, especially their bass. Fortunately, there is a way to "crack" the AirPods headphones and solve these problems.
How to improve the basses of AirPods and make them more convenient
To do this you will need a foam pad for the headphones. They will help them to sit more securely in the ear, and also improve the basses of AirPods, especially when listening to music at high volume. Moreover, this method will help your AirPods stay clean and not get littered with dust and debris.

It's quite simple, you just need to make a few holes in the overlays, which will help to work properly for various sensors on AirPods. So you can still activate Siri, manage music, etc.
If everything is done correctly, the functionality of AirPods will not be violated in any way. You can even put the headphones in the case without any problems.

In Apple Watch can add support for third-party dials

For some reason, Apple does not allow third-party developers to create dials for Apple Watch. However, this may change in the near future, if you believe the watchOS 4.3.1 code. Data from the code indicate that in the future Apple Watch will begin to support third-party dials.
Most likely, support will appear with the release of the version of the watchOS 5 system, which will be presented at the World Conference of Developers 2018 in a couple of months.
The NanoTimeKit component responsible for the dials contains developer tools for working with Xcode on a Mac The code looks like this:
Apple likes to severely restrict its operating systems, and so the company allowed the support of third-party dials only now. However, with the release of watchOS 5 should appear a variety of different and high-quality dials for Apple Watch.
Third-party dials will allow Apple Watch owners to customize them to their taste. At the moment, Apple offers about 15 dials. This and so many, but for all this time they are probably tired of users, and a greater choice of them will only please.

How to copy files and folders to a Mac using the Duplicate function
If you often need to create copies of files or folders on a Mac, you will be happy to know that it can be done very simply and quickly thanks to the Duplicate function in the Finder menu. The function name speaks for itself - it creates an exact copy of any file or folder that you select, and saves it in the same place as the original.
For example, if you have a "Document" file, and you make a copy of it, a "Document copy" file appears. Thus, you can copy any files and folders, and in the name of the copy there will always be a "copy" to make it easier to distinguish.

How to copy files and folders to Mac OS

  1. Open the "Finder" on the Mac and find the file or folder you want to copy.
  2. Tap the desired file or folder.
  3. Open the "File" menu and select the "Duplicate" option.
  4. When copying is completed, a copy of the selected document or folder will appear in the same place, and in its title there will be a "copy".
The screenshot above shows that we made a copy of the document "IMG_0553.JPG", and it is called "IMG_0553 - copy.JPG".

How to Copy Files with Shortcut Keys

If you use the File menu for you for too long, you can use the keyboard shortcut.
  • Select a file or folder and hold  Command D to create a copy.
Clamping the key combination is only necessary after the file or folder is selected.
Some Mac users find the keyboard shortcut more convenient. Nevertheless, whatever approach you choose, the result will remain the same.
Like any other file on a Mac, a copy can be renamed, moved, cut and pasted, downloaded somewhere, deleted, etc.
Creating copies of files is useful in many cases. Perhaps you are going to edit the document, but want to insure yourself with a backup, or just want to save something in two versions. In addition, one file can be copied several times. Simply select the original and continue to press the function in the menu. This way you will get a "Document copy", "Document copy 2", "Document copy 3", etc.
